John Brody's Fondue
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups dry white wine
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and cut in half
- 1 Tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3-3/4 cups (15 oz.) Sargento® Artisan Blends Shredded Swiss Cheese
- 1/4 cup Kirsch (any flavored vodka or brandy will also work)
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. ground mustard (optional)
- Freshly ground nutmeg to taste
Directions
- Rub the inside of the fondue pot with garlic. Add wine and lemon juice and bring to a gentle simmer. Add cheese slowly and continue stirring until all the cheese has melted.
- Combine the Kirsch, cornstarch and mustard and add to the wine and cheese mixture. Season with nutmeg and serve.
