Amish Style Roast Chicken & Colby-Jack Melts
Ingredients
- 4 tsp. butter, softened
- 4 slices multi-grain or whole wheat bread
- 8 slices Sargento® Limited Edition Sliced Colby-Jack Cheese
- 4 slices rotisserie roast chicken breast or leftover cooked chicken (4 to 5 oz.)
- 1/2 tsp. barbecue seasoning
- 1 Tbsp. coarse-grained mustard
Directions
- Spread butter over one side of each slice of bread. Turn bread over onto a sheet of waxed paper or work surface. Arrange 2 slices of cheese over each slice of bread. Arrange chicken breast over 2 of the bread slices. Sprinkle seasonings over chicken. Spread mustard over chicken. Close sandwiches.
- Heat a large nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat until hot. Add sandwiches; cook 3 minutes per side or until golden brown and cheese is melted. Cut diagonally in half.
