Ingredients
  • 2 ea. pita flat bread rounds
  • 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced, divided
  • ½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp. kosher salt
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp. spicy brown mustard
  • 1 tbsp. fresh dill, chopped
  • 8 spears asparagus, cut into 1" pieces
  • 24 ea. small shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 slices Sargento® Ultra Thin® Provolone Cheese
  • Fresh dill and lemon zest, for garnish
Directions
  1. In a small bowl, combine butter, garlic, pepper and salt. Brush pitas with garlic butter. Grill pitas on hot grill for 20-30 seconds per side or until lightly browned. Cut into quarters and set aside.

  3. Transfer remaining garlic butter to a medium skillet. Pre-heat over medium heat until hot. Add asparagus and shrimp. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until shrimp is cooked through and asparagus is crisp tender.
  4. To assemble, fold each cheese slice and place on each pita quarter. Top with shrimp and asparagus mixture. Drizzle aoli on top and garnish with dill, lemon zest and black pepper.
