This tasty dish is a family-style classic with added hearty chicken and thick cut bacon pieces joined with delicious sundried tomatoes all in a creamy cheese sauce made with Sargento® Fine Cut Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese stirred in with buttery macaroni noodles. You can’t go wrong with this family favorite meal.

Ingredients
  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups (8 oz.) Sargento Fine Cut Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese, divided
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
  • 1 lb. premium grilled chicken breast, cooked and shredded
  • 1 lb. thick-cut bacon, cooked and cut into small pieces
  • 8.5 oz. package of sun-dried tomatoes
Directions
  1. To Make the Sauce: Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Gradually add milk and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Remove from heat. Add 1-1 1/2 cups cheese and stir until cheese is melted.
  2. Combine cheese sauce with cooked macaroni.
  3. Stir in chicken, bacon and sun-dried tomatoes.
  4. Pour into a 1.5-quart casserole and top with remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
  5. Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 30 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is lightly browned.
