Crispy bacon, Sargento® Smokehouse Cheddar™ Cheese and your favorite savory jam combine for a mouthwatering burger.
1 lb. ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp. steak seasoning
4 slices Sargento® Smokehouse Cheddar™ Cheese
4 brioche burger buns, split
1/4 cup savory tomato or onion jam
4 slices bacon, crisply cooked, halved
1 cup arugula
Mix together ground beef, garlic, egg, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce and steak seasoning. Form into 4 patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
Preheat grill to medium heat; grease grate well. Place patties on grill; close lid and cook, turning once, for about 10 minutes or until cooked through. Top patties with cheese during last minute of cooking to melt.
Spread buns with savory jam; layer patties, bacon and arugula on bottoms of buns. Cap with tops of buns. Tip: For an added kick, add a dash of hot sauce to burger patties.
