<p>Sargento® Smokehouse String Cheese™ is wrapped around pizza dough, brushed with a melted butter, marinara sauce, garlic, and parsley mixture, then baked until lightly browned and gooey.&nbsp; Served with marinara butter sauce for dipping.</p>

Ingredients
  • 1 Tube (13.8 oz.) Refrigerated original pizza dough
  • 8 Sticks Sargento® Smokehouse String Cheese™
  • 3/4 Cup Marinara sauce, warmed
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
  • 2 Tbsp. Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Sargento® Shredded Parmesan Cheese
Directions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.  Unroll dough on a clean surface and stretch out slightly to make a perfect rectangle.  Cut the dough in half crosswise, then into 4 strips lengthwise.  You should have 8 strips of dough about 2” X 6”.
  2. Place a string cheese stick in the center of each breadstick and bring sides and ends together over the cheese. Press well to seal.  Stretch end slightly to create pointy ends.  Place breadsticks seam side down, 2” apart on baking sheet.
  3. Cut 5 -1” diagonal slits on the top of each wrapped breadstick. This will help prevent cheese from oozing out the side.
  4. Combine the marinara sauce, butter, garlic, powder, and parsley in a medium bowl. Stir until well blended.
  5. Brush each breadstick with some of the marinara garlic butter. Transfer remaining sauce to a small serving bowl and set aside. Sprinkle parmesan cheese down the center of each breadstick.
  6. Place baking sheet in center rack of oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until breadsticks are browned and cheese is melted. Transfer to a plate and serve with reserved marinara garlic butter on the side for dipping.
